GATE 2020 registration link open: The students are willing to write the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2019 exam must take note that GATE 2020 registration link has now been opened by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. The interested candidates can now go to the official website - gate.iitd.ac.in and register themselves for the exam. The Gate 2020 registration procedure will continue till September 24, 2019. According to the details provided by IIT Delhi, the exam will be held in two sessions - 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.

- Go to the official website: gate.iitd.ac.in.

- Look for the registration link and click on it.

- Enter the required details and submit them.

- Id and Password will be generated. Use it to log in to the platform.

- Click on 'Apply online'.

- Provide the required details and upload necessary documents.

- Upload signature and photo

- Make application fee payment online

- Submit the application form

- Take a printout of GATE 2020 application form

The admit cards for GATE 2020 will be relased on January 3 and the result will be declared on March 16. The extended closing date for submission of (online) application (through website) is October 1, 2019 while the candidates can ask for a change in their examination city till November 15. The Gate 2020 result will be declared on the same website on March 16, 2020.

About GATE exam

The GATE exam is conducted for admissions to M.Tech and M.Sc programmes in Engineering, Technology and Architecture. GATE is a national level examination and is also used to determine the eligibility for recruitment by certain organizations like the DRDO, under the Government of India. Meanwhile, those who qualify in GATE 2020 will be admitted to various Masters programmes at IIT’s, NIT’s, GFTI’s and IISc aprt from other renowned technical institutes.
