Gaganyaan Mission: First unmanned space flight set to launch in December, Rs 4,000-crore ‘Deep Ocean Mission’ to also kick-start says Finance Minister
India’s first unmanned space flight as part of the ‘Gaganyaan’ mission is scheduled to be launched in December this year, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said on Monday.
Sitharaman also proposed to launch a ‘Deep Ocean Mission’ with a budget outlay of more than Rs 4,000 crore over five years. This mission will cover deep ocean survey exploration and projects for the conservation of deep sea bio-diversity. PTI
