A host of exhibitions have been organised to showcase India’s technological prowess and innovation among a multitude of unique experiences at the Bharat Mandapam convention centre in New Delhi, where key meetings are scheduled to take place as part of the G20 Summit. Here’s a list of some of the most attractive and innovative initiatives, among a string of arrangements amid tight security, all housed at the Bharat Mandapam centre:

The Culture Corridor-G20 Digital Museum represents and celebrates the shared heritage of G20 members and invitee countries. It incorporates iconic, notable cultural objects and heritage of G20 members, and nine invitee countries. The initiative showcases a range of iconic and notable cultural objects, serving as an impactful platform for diverse cultural expressions.

Digital experience zone 

The Digital India Experience Zone, set up in Hall 4 and Hall 14, provides visitors with a unique opportunity to experience the power of technology being implemented by India, through virtual reality technology. It will offer key insights into the crucial initiatives of the government’s Digital India programme, highlighting initiatives including Aadhaar, DigiLocker, UPI, e-Sanjeevani, DIKSHA, Bhashini, the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), and Ask GITA, an AI-powered tool that answers questions about real life based on wisdom from Bhagwat Gita. 

This area includes a range of government initiatives, such as MyGov, CoWIN, UMANG, Jan Dhan, GSTN, and FastTag.

A section dedicated to innovative RBI initiatives

The RBI’s Innovation Pavilion displays cutting-edge financial technologies, showcasing their potential to revolutionise the financial landscape. The area has products demonstrating unique facets of the country’s innovation in the financial sector, including Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC), and products such as UPI One World, Rupay on the GO, and cross border bill payments through Bharat Bill Payments.

Through UPI One World, a UPI-based payment system, foreign visitors not having bank accounts in India can open prepaid payment instruments linked to UPI to experience hassle-free and secure payments during their stay. 

Crafts bazaar

Set up in Hall 3, the ‘Crafts Bazaar’ will have participation from central and regional agencies, including Khadi and Village Industries Commission and TRIFED. 

This area is dedicated to the skills and exquisite workmanship of artisans, including special live demonstrations by master craftsmen.
