G20 Summit: DMRC shares detailed schedule, know timings of first and last trains on all lines
Delhi is preparing for the two-day G20 summit that is scheduled to take place on September 9 and 10. Delhi Police has already issued an advisory on traffic restrictions from September 8 to 10, suggesting commuters to use Delhi metro for travelling.
As Delhi gears up to host the G20 Summit this weekend, preparations are in the final stage to ensure smooth movement of world leaders and foreign delegates who will congregate in the national capital. Authorities have been visiting key sites to take stock of preparedness for the mega event and the Delhi Police is also working to monitor the security for the high-profile event. While the national capital will remain under heightened vigilance, there will be restrictions on several routes for traffic movement.
Besides that, schools, restaurants, offices and markets in many areas of Delhi will remain closed from September 8 to September 10.
Now, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has shared a detailed schedule of first and last trains on all routes for the convenience of commuters during the G20 summit.
DMRC shares the Delhi Metro timetable
Delhi Metro on Monday launched the sale of ‘Tourist Smart Cards’ through dedicated counters at 36 stations between September 4 and September 13 for the convenience of passengers, foreign delegates and international travellers, during the G20 summit.
Meanwhile, DMRC has also issued a detailed and updated chart for the convenience of metro travellers, giving details on the daily timings and schedule of the Delhi Metro. The schedule shows the timings of the first and last metro trains running in the national capital across all the metro lines.

Delhi Metro timings
Red Line: While the first train from Red Line will start at 5:30 AM on weekdays, the last train will run at 11:00 PM. On Sunday, the train will start at 8:00 AM from Shaheed Sthal, 5.30 AM from Dilshad Garden, and 5:25 AM from Rithala.
Yellow Line: The first train from the Yellow Line will start at 5:50 AM on weekdays and Sundays and the last train will run at 2:11 PM.
Blue Line: The first train from the Blue Line will start at 6 AM on weekdays and the last train will run at 11:50 PM.
Green Line: The first train from the Green Line will start at 6 AM on weekdays and the last train will run at 10:46 PM. On Sundays, the first train will start at 8 AM.
Violet Line: The first train from the Violet Line will start at 6 AM while the last train will run at 11 PM.
Pink Line: The first train from the Pink Line will start at 6 AM while the last train will start at 12 PM.
Magenta Line: The first train from the Magenta Line will start at 5:40 AM while the last train will run at 11 PM.
Grey Line: The first train from the Grey Line will start at 6 AM while the last train will run at 12 PM.
Airport Express Line: For the Airport Express Line, the first train will run at 4:45 AM while the last train will run at 11:40 PM.
Delhi Traffic Police advisory for G20 Summit
In the meantime, those who will be travelling during the G20 summit will need to make their plans beforehand and follow the traffic advisory released by the Delhi Police. Delhi Traffic Police has recommended using certain routes for those travelling to the airport, New Delhi, and Old Delhi railway stations.

As New Delhi area will be a restricted zone and many roads will remain blocked for the commuters, Delhi Police has suggested people to use metro for travelling.

Delhi Police has requested DMRC to close the entry and exits at a number of metro stations between September 8 and 10. DMRC has already announced that the passengers will not be able board or exit the train at Supreme Court metro station during this period. The Supreme Court metro station is located near Bharat Mandapam, which is the G20 summit venue.
