Delhi Metro stations closed for G20 Summit news: The high-profile G20 Summit is scheduled to start on September 9 and 10, and the Delhi Police is leaving no stone unturned to ensure foolproof security. In an attempt to strengthen the security of high-profile VVIPs who will attend the summit in the Capital, Ram Gopal Naik, DCP, Metro Police, on Monday wrote to Delhi Metro chief secutiry commissioner, informing him about a number of Delhi metro station gates that may be closed from September 8–10.

Delhi Metro Station Gates to be shut during G20 Summit

For IGI airport, Gate No. 1 will be opened for entry and exit.

All gates will stay open at the Aero City, Dhaula Kuan, South Campus, and Dwarka Sector 21 metro stations.

At the Khan Market metro station, Gate Nos. 1, 2, and 3 will be closed, while Gate No 4 will be opened for entry and exit.

At the Kailash Colony metro station, Gate No. 2 will be closed, while passengers can enter and exit from Gate No. 1.

At Moolchand, passengers will be allowed to enter and exit from Gate No 1.

At the Lajpat Nagar metro station, Gate Nos. 1, 2, 3, and 4 will be closed, while Gate No. 5 will be opened for entry and exit.

Gate Nos. 1 and 3 will be closed at the Jangpura and Ashram metro stations, while entry and exit will be possible only from Gate No. 2 at both places.

At Janapath, Gate Nos. 1, 3, and 4 will be closed, and people will be allowed to enter and exit from Gate No. 2.

At the Barakhamba metro station, Gate Nos. 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6 will be closed, while passengers are allowed to enter and exit from Gate No. 2.

The Supreme Court metro station is highly sensitive, and as per the advisory of the traffic unit, all the gates will remain closed.

At the Indraprastha metro station, people can come and go only from Gate No. 1, while Gate No. 2 will be closed.  

No gate will be opened at the Moti Bagh metro station as Gate Nos. 1 and 2 will stay closed.

At Bhikaji Kama Place, Gate Nos. 1, 2 and 3 will be closed, while no gate will be opened. 

At Munirka, Gate Nos. 1, 2, and 3 will be shut, and no gate will be opened for entry and exit.

At RK Puram, all five gates of the metro station will stay closed.        

At IIT Delhi, all its tree gates will stay shut.

At the Hauz Khas Metro Station, Gate Nos. 1, 2, and 4 will be shut, while Gate No 3 will be opened to let people enter and exit.

At the Malviya Nagar metro station, entry and exit are allowed from Gate Nos. 1 and 2, while Gate Nos. 3 and 4 will be closed during the event.

At a bunch of metro stations like Rajiv Chowk, Chawri Bazar, Chandni Chowk, Panchsheel Park, Chiragh Delhi, Greater Kailash, Nehru Enclave, Kalkaji Mandir, and NSIC, no gate will be closed, and passengers can enter and exit as usual. 

At the Sadar Bazar Cantonment metro station, entry or exit won't be possible from any gate, as both gates of the station will stay shut.

At Palam, only Gate No. 3 will be opened, and commuters can't use Gate Nos. 1 ad 2.

At the Central Secretariat metro stations, commuters can use 1, 2, and 5 number gates, while Gate Nos. 3 and 4 will be out of their reach due to closure.

At Udyog Bawan, entry and exit are possible through Gate Nos. 2 and 4, while 1 and 3 will be closed.

At the Lok Kalyan Marg metro station, Gate No 1 will be opened while Gate No 2 will be closed.

At the Mandi House, commuters can use only Gate No 1 for entering into and exiting from the metro station, with Gate Nos. 2, 3, and 4 staying shut.

At the busy ITO metro station, Gate Nos. 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 will be shut while only Gate No 1 for entry and exit can be used.

At the Delhi Gate metro station, commuters can enter and exit only from Gate No. 3, while Gate Nos. 1, 2, 4, and 5 will remain shut.
