The biggest highlight of the Tamil Nadu elections is not the rallies or speeches made by AIADMK's Jayalalithaa or DMK's Karunanidhi, but infact the freebies listed in their manifesto.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Thursday promised several freebies some of which include free mobile phones, free Wi-Fi in public places, free set-top boxes and even free laptops to school students if the AIADMK retained power in assembly elections.

Free Laptops with Internet for 10th and 12th std students.

Maternity assistance of Rs 18,000. Nine months leave.

100 units electricity free every two months.

Relief for fisherfolk to be increased to Rs 5000. Separate scheme for construction of houses for fishermen.

Rs 40,000 crores of farm loans to be given between 2016 to 2021.
