Forgot your IRCTC user ID and password? Here is how you can get it
In a mail, when asked about the Catering service and If you forgot your user ID, then users gets an option of "Forgot User ID" at Login screen. User ID will be shared on registered email id.
One should know that once we create an account on IRCTC we are by default registered with www.irctctourism.com. But what to do if we forget User ID and password? No need to worry User-name can be seen in the default mail from IRCTC that is sent to the user as a confirmation of registration. In a mail, when asked about the Catering service and If you forgot your user ID, then users gets an option of "Forgot User ID" at Login screen. User ID will be shared on registered email id.
Steps to get back the User ID on mail:
1. Click on the Login option
2. Click on link Forgot User id link?
3. Fill registered email id, Date of Birth and correct Captcha.
4. Click on Submit Option
5. Check your email inbox.
OR else you can also retrieve your User-name from IRCTC website end. All you need to do is if you have any transaction-no. or PNR-no. booked through forgotten User-name earlier. Then you can send the PNR number or the transaction id number of any previously booked tickets so that it will be easier for IRCTC to track the details.
If we do not have any of the previously booked ticket details then we can give them the IRCTC registered e-mail id along with correct profile details including name, date of birth, residential address, registered mobile no. This is how they can send us the forgotten User ID on the registered e-mail id.
