Companies supplying LPG at your doorsteps may even hold back your order and you might not get cylinder delivery
There is an important development for families using LPG cylinder gas. Oil companies are coming up with a new delivery system from November 1. If you fail to implement this new delivery system, you will face difficulty in ordering your gas cylinders. Companies supplying LPG at your doorsteps may even hold back your order and you might not get cylinder delivery. Know that gas cylinders won’t be delivered without OTP
Oil companies have decided to execute new delivery system to prevent theft of gas cylinders and identify genuine customers.
This new process has been named as Delivery Authentication Code (DAC). Now, home delivery of gas cylinders will be only confirmed through OTP from November 1, 2020. You won’t be able to take gas cylinder from delivery boy without confirming OTP.
What is new system?
According to available information, now only booking a gas cylinder won’t ensure its delivery. Going forward, customers will receive an OTP on booking of gas cylinders. You will have to share this OTP with the delivery boy when he comes up with your order. Once the code is confirmed with the system, only then you can take delivery of your booking. Oil companies will first introduce DAC in 100 smart cities identified by the Government of India. A pilot project in two cities are already under progress to introduce the new system.
