Flying out of Delhi, Mumbai airports? Your flight may cancelled or delayed; prepare to pay more too

Domestic flyers may face some difficult moments at the country's two busiest airports in coming days due to runway maintenance and repair in two phases slated between October and March. This repair work will affect more than 2,000 flights, which can either be cancelled or be rescheduled during this period, according to a report.
One runway at Delhi airport will be closed for 13 days in November, while Mumbai airport will remain shut for six hours thrice a week between February 7, 2019 and end of March.

An airline executive, who did not want to be named, told ET, “During both closures, domestic flights will be impacted the most and airlines will cancel flights that may lead to fares rising” in that period.
Delhi airport, which has three runways, will be shut down for maintenance and repair work. One of its runways, Runway 27 is the oldest one used primarily by flights using Terminal 1D, and it will reportedly be closed for 13 days from November 15.
