Tejas Express, the country's first private train, is being successfully run between New Delhi and Lucknow. The Indian Railways have currently extended the responsibility to run this train to IRCTC. Taking a big decision, IRCTC has given Diwali Bonanza offer to the passengers. IRCTC has announced that there will be a 35 per cent reduction in the fare of 82502 Tejas Express, running between New Delhi and Lucknow. However, these revised fares will be valid only during the journey between 27/10/19 to 31/10/19 October.

Compensation in case the train is late

According to senior officials of IRCTC, compensation of up to Rs 250 will be given to the passengers if the train is running late. A link will be sent on the mobile numbers of the passengers traveling on the train. By clicking on this link, the passengers will be able to claim their compensation.
 
Tejas Express was started on October 04

The Tejas Express train running between New Delhi to Lucknow was started from Lucknow on October 4. It is the first private train of Indian Railways, which is being run by IRCTC.

New facility in Tejas Express

The passengers of the Lucknow-Delhi Tejas Express, the country's first private semi-high speed train, will receive 'biodegradable' (perishable) bottles of drinking water. IRCTC's Lucknow Regional Chief Regional Manager (CRM) Ashwini Srivastava said, "Around 15,000 bottles per day will be delivered to the Tejas Express during the up and down trips. The bottles will be kept for a few months to test their disposable life.
