Zee Business Exclusive: The government of India may soon release the names of the beneficiaries of the Drone Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme. The announcement is expected to be made ahead of the scheduled time. Applications from more than 50 eligible companies have come so far in the second window of Drone PLI, a source tells Zee Business's Ambarish Pandey.

PLI scheme for drone and component manufacturing is getting a good response, Pandey tells in his report. The government has fixed June 30 as the deadline to announce the names. But according to sources, the announcement is possible between June 15 - June 18.
It is to be noted that the last date for applications was May 20, 2022.

According to the source, Bharat Dynamics, InfoEdge, Zomato, Zen Technologies, and DCM Shriram have applied for the scheme. Apart from this, applications from HAL, Dhanuka Agri, Solar India, and BEL have also come in, said Pandey citing the sources.

Whereas Paras Aerospace and Adani Elbit have already got approval, said Pandey. Also, according to the source, many companies including Tata, and Mahindra Group are applying in Joint venture (JV).
