An earthquake of 4.3 magnitude struck the Rajkot district of Gujarat on Sunday afternoon, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS).

The quake hit at around 3:21 pm with a depth of 10 km. 

"Earthquake of Magnitude: 4.3, Occurred on 26-02-2023, 15:21:12 IST, Lat: 24.61 & Long: 69.96, Depth: 10 Km, Location: 270 km NNW of Rajkot, Gujarat, India," the NCS said in a tweet. 

No casualty or damage to property has been reported so far. 

The tremor was recorded at 3:21 pm with its epicenter around 270 kilometers away from Rajkot in the northwest, NCS tweeted. 

Last week, three minor tremors were recorded in Gujarat’s Amreli district in two days, an official from the Institute of Seismological Research (ISR) was quoted as saying by the news agency PTI. 

A 5.9-magnitude earthquake jolted Western Nepal on January 24 (Tuesday) afternoon with tremors also being felt in parts of Delhi, the national capital region, and Jaipur.
