Earthquake in Delhi Today : A quake hit Delhi-NCR today around 7 pm. The quake was measured 4.7 on the Richter Scale. It forced many people to rush outdoors in panic. This is the second earthquake today in India. Earlier today, an earthquake of magnitude 4.6 was reported near Champhai in Mizoram according to India's National Center for Seismology.
The earthquake hit Alwar district of Rajasthan on Friday evening and the tremors were also felt in Delhi and other adjoining regions.
The earthquake, which occurred at 7 p.m., was at a depth of 35 km from the surface.
No casualties or damage to properties have been reported so far.
This has been among a series of earthquakes that have hit the Delhi-NCR region since 12 April. A PTI report puts the total number of earthquakes at 18. Out of the 18 that have been recorded, 8 had epicentre around the Rohtak region.
The epicentre of the earlier earthquake was 52 km south-southeast (SSE) of Champhai, Mizoram, the agency said. The earthquake struck at 2:35:41 PM IST at a depth of 25 km from the surface.

Almost a week back, on 26 June a low intensity earthquake of 2.8 on the Richter scale was felt with the epicentre near Haryana's Rohtak district. The epicentre was 17 km east-southeast of Rohtak.
