The residents of Delhi-NCR experienced strong tremors around 1:35 pm today (June 13). Visuals available with Zee News showed a ceiling fan and a chandelier in a house shaking. As per National Centre for Seismology, a 5.4 magnitude quake jolted Doda in Jammu and Kashmir and tremors were felt across north India. It hit its epicentre Doda at a depth of 6 km (33.15 latitude, 75.82 longtitude).

There were also reports that said the tremors were felt in parts of Pakistan, and China as well. However, there are no reports of damage so far. National Centre for Seismology said that the epicentre of the quake was 158 km south of Kargil, and 163 km north west of Manali.

Tremors were felt in Lahore, Islamabad, and Peshawar, prompting people to rush out of their offices and homes.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage to property.

In Punjab, the tremors were felt in Shakar Garh, Chichawatni, Sialkot, Mandi Bahauddin, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Hafizabad, and Zafarwal.

The quake hit Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Abbottabad, Swabi, and Swat areas.

Meanwhile, in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, the tremors were felt in Bagh, DhirKot, and Muzaffarabad areas.

Pakistan often witnesses earthquakes of varying magnitudes.

The deadliest quake to hit Pakistan in 2005 killed more than 74,000 people.
