LS Polls Phase 3  Dry Day Cities and States: As the third phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2024 is scheduled for May 7, the government has declared dry days in a few states from May 5th to May 7th, 2024. For the third phase of the elections, schools have also been closed in the constituencies of states where polling is being held. Some private and government offices are also closed.

Lok Sabha elections 2024 Phase 3 Time

Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Phase 3 polling will take place in 94 constituencies of 12 states. A dry day means, alcohol will not be sold in the prohibited states for the mentioned period. As many as 1,351 candidates are in the fray in the phase 3 polls, the Elections Commission of India said. All 25 Lok Sabha seats in Gujarat will go to poll in the third phase.

Here is the list of states where alcohol is prohibited from May 5-7.

Uttar Pradesh: In Uttar Pradesh, all liquor outlets will be shuttered for the votes in four districts: Bareilly, Aonla, Badaun, and Sambhal. The ban order is effected from 6 PM on May 5 until the end of polls on May 7, 2024. This injunction applies to all liquor establishments in the region, within an 8-kilometer radius of the constituency.

Assam: In Assam also, dry days have been declared in Guwahati city by the Kamrup-Metro district administration from 5 PM on May 5 to May 7, 2024.

Goa: Dry Day has also been declared in Goa as the state will go for voting during the third phase.

Gujarat: Gujarat is already a dry state.
