Dry Day in Delhi 2023 list: The Delhi Excise Rules state that no licensee will sell liquor on Eid-ul-Fitr as it is designated as dry by the excise commissioner with the agreement of the government.
Dry Day in Delhi 2023 list: The Delhi government has issued an order barring the sale of liquor in shops, pubs, and restaurants in the national capital on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, April 22, 2023.
The Delhi Excise Rules state that no licensee will sell liquor on Eid-ul-Fitr as it is designated as dry by the excise commissioner with the agreement of the government.
This restriction applies to the service of liquor to residents in hotels L-1, LIF, L-2, L-3, L-4, L-5, L-6, L-6FG, L-6FE, L-8, L-9, L-10, L-11, L-14, L-18, L-18F, L-23,L-23F, L-25, L26, L-31, L-32, L-33, L-34, L-35, P-10A and P-11 licensees of the Excise department, and opium vends located in Delhi.
The step is believed to be implemented to maintain harmony because there are many incidences of hooliganism and violence that occur after the consumption of alcohol. Here is a list of dry days when no alcohol can be purchased or sold.
