Does typing ATM pin backwards really calls the police? Find out
As the government is pushing for digital payments and people are opting for debit/credit cards, it is high time that banks do come out with security measures.
How many times do you carefully read whatsapp message or "Did you Know" posts on social media? Most of the time we all do.
If this is the case, then you all might have read this message:
"If a thief forces you to make money out of an ATM, do not argue or resist. What you do is punch in your pin #backwards. Example: if its 1234, you will type 4321. When you do that, the money will come out but will be stuck in the slot. The machine will immediately alert the local police without the robbers knowledge & begin taking photos of the suspect. Every ATM has the feature."
This message have been going around from past many years now, and people actually believe this will work.
However, this is not the truth but just a "myth".
