Diesel price in India today up by 13-14p; Mumbai price at Rs 69 per litre, check other cities
Diesel price in India has soared to near all-time high, and consumers are set to pay more for this fuel product.
Diesel price in India today: Like petrol prices, the state-owned Oil Companies today decided to increase the prices of diesel in the range of 13 paisa to 14 paisa each per litre in various state capitals of India. Among cities, Mumbai and Chennai saw the most hike in diesel prices during the day. The diesel prices have been rising on the back of higher crude prices, and on Tuesday, they international commodity prices inched up, as rising Russian output and expectations of a reduction in Saudi Arabian crude prices were offset by a potential slowdown in U.S. production. Meanwhile, petrol prices were surged between 11 paisa to 13 paisa per litre in various state capital.
Diesel price in New Delhi: Diesel price in the national capital was up by 13 paisa and was available at Rs 64.82 per litre compared to Rs 64.69 per litre of the previous day.
Diesel price in Kolkata: Similarly, with 13 paisa hike diesel was available here at Rs 67.51 per litre against Rs 67.38 per litre of the previous day.
Diesel price in Mumbai: Diesel here increased by 13 paisa and was valued at Rs 69.02 per litre, versus previous day price of Rs 68.89 per litre.
Diesel price in Chennai: Diesel price in Chennai saw a surge of 14 paisa, and was available at Rs 68.38 per litre from Rs 68.24 per litre of previous day.
Diesel prices in other state capitals: The product in Bangalore was available at Rs 65.91 per litre, Bhopal at Rs 68.21 per litre, Bhubaneswar at Rs 69.54 per litre, Chandigarh at Rs 62.93 per litre, Dehradun at Rs 65.17 per litre, Gandhinagar at Rs 69.61 per litre, Hyderabad at Rs 70.43 per litre, Jaipur at Rs 69.12 per litre, Lucknow at Rs 65.01 per litre, Patna at Rs 69.44 per litre, Raipur at Rs 70.01 per litre and Srinagar at Rs 68.14 per litre.
Meanwhile, U.S. WTI crude futures were at $63.2 a barrel at 0117 GMT, up 18 cents, or 0.3 percent, from their previous settlement. Brent crude futures rose to $67.84 per barrel, up 20 cents, or 0.3 percent, after it fell more than 2 percent.
