Delhi weather today: IMD predicted rain, hailstorm, thunderstorms over national capital, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh

Delhi Weather Today: Cloudy skies and occasional showers will keep the maximum temperature in low in Delhi and neighbouring areas, meteorologists said. A western disturbance is active over the Himalayan region and it is likely to cause light rain in northwest India over the next few days, an official at the India Meteorological Department said.
Light rain is possible in Delhi over the next five to six days. The maximum temperature will hover around 30 degrees Celsius, the IMD said.
The Safdarjung Observatory, Delhi's primary weather station, logged a maximum temperature of 34.3 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, five notches more than normal and the highest this year so far. The city recorded a maximum temperature of 33.3 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.
IMD added that thunderstorms with lightning or hailstorm, accompanied by light to moderate rainfall, is very likely over north Bengal districts from March 14 to 20. These districts include Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Cooch Behar, Alipurduar, and Kalimpong

Scattered to fairly widespread light/moderate rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning & gusty winds (speed 30-40 kmph) likely over Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh during 16-19 March 2023. Isolated hailstorm activity is also likely over East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh on the 16-17, over Madhya Maharashtra & Marathawada from 15-17 March 2023.
