Delhi temperature, weather today forecast: Light rain likely to lash national capital, Noida, Ghaziabad
Parts of Rajasthan recorded 10 to 30 mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours due to an active western disturbance leading to a slight drop in temperatures, a MeT department official said on Sunday.
Delhi temperature, weather today forecast: Light showers in Delhi and neighbouring cities including Noida and Ghaziabad further intensified cold conditions, taking the maximum temperature to 17.2 degrees Celsius, five notches below the average for the season. The minimum temperature in the city settled at 6.4 degrees Celsius, three notches below the average for the season.
IMD predicted that generally cloudy skies with light rain and thundershowers during the morning for Monday, adding that the minimum and maximum temperatures are likely to hover around 10 and 20 degrees Celsius, respectively.
The national capital received 3.3 mm of rainfall till 5.30 pm, it said.
Meanwhile, as per the air quality early warning system, the air quality in Delhi is likely to improve to the moderate category from January 30 to February 1.
Rajasthan weather

Sahada of Bhilwara, Relmagra of Rajsamand, Dabok of Udaipur, and Bheem of Rajsamand recorded 30 mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours. Various other places across the state recorded 10 to 20 mm of rainfall during the same period.
Maximum and minimum temperatures in all the major cities in the state are on the rise for the last three to four days.
Haryana, Punjab weather
Muktsar in Punjab registered a minimum temperature that was below normal, severe cold weather conditions also prevailed in other places, including Ferozepur, which recorded a low of 2.5 degrees Celsius and Faridkot, a minimum of three degrees Celsius, according to the Meteorological Department's weather report.
Ludhiana's minimum temperature settled at 6.3 degrees Celsius while Amritsar recorded a low of 6.2 degrees Celsius.
In Haryana, biting cold prevailed in Hisar which recorded a low of four degrees Celsius.
Bhiwani and Sirsa also reeled under severe cold weather conditions, recording respective minimum temperatures of 5.6 degrees Celsius and 4.8 degrees Celsius.
Widespread rain, snow likely in Kashmir
The weather was generally cloudy in J&K during the last 24 hours as the MeT office said on Sunday, adding that that widespread rain/snow is likely in Kashmir division and light rain in Jammu division.
"Widespread rain/snow is likely in Kashmir division and light rain in Jammu division during the next 24 hours," an official of the MeT department said.
Srinagar recorded minus 2.4, Pahalgam minus 5.6 and Gulmarg minus 7.2 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature on Sunday. In Ladakh region, Kargil witnessed minus 10.6 and Leh minus 13 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature. Jammu and Katra both registered 7.6, Batote 4, Banihal 2 and Bhaderwah 1.4 degree Celsius as the minimum temperature.
Meanwhile, the Indian Railway has informed that 13 trains arriving at New Delhi Railway Station are running late due to low visibility and rains. (
