In a statement on Wednesday, July 17, DMRC said, "The service, launched in the first week of June, aims to enhance passenger convenience and streamline travel procedures for international flights departing from Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI), New Delhi."

In conjunction with Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), Air India, and Vistara Airlines, DMRC is expanding this service to make it simpler for international travellers to check in at these major metro stations in Delhi. Previously exclusively accessible for domestic travellers, the 'check-in & baggage-drop' service is now open to international customers flying with Air India and Vistara Airlines. DMRC welcomes more airlines to provide this facility to assist travellers even more.

A look at the key features of the 'check-in and baggage drop' service

1. Convenience: Passengers may check in their luggage at these metro stations, and it will be safely transferred to the airplane using innovative automated technologies.

2. Operating hours: The service is accessible to Air India passengers at the New Delhi and Shivaji Stadium metro stations from 6 AM to 9 PM, and to Vistara Airlines passengers at the New Delhi station from 6 AM to 8 PM every day.

3. Check-in timings: For domestic flights, passengers can check in between twelve hours and two hours before the flight's departure time, and for international flights, between four hours and three hours before.

4. Location of Check-In Counters:

New Delhi Metro Station: Airline check-in counters are located at the concourse level.
