Delhi Metro Services Details on Republic Day 2021: The preparation for Republic Day 2021 parade in New Delhi is in full swing. As expected, the security personnel posted here have been kept on red alert and various routes have been changed to keep the routine life of the daily commuters unchanged and unaffected. In this regard, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has issued a Republic Day 2021 advisory. Delhi Metro has made some security arrangement that includes, complete shutdown of the parking facility at all metro stations, partial regulation of the Delhi Metro train route, etc.

Delhi Metro has issued its Republic Day 2021 schedule in a written press statement on 24th January 2021 and said, "The services on Line-2 (HUDA City Centre – Samaypur Badli) of the Delhi Metro will be partially regulated on Tuesday, the 26th of January, 2021 (Republic Day)." Delhi Metro went on to add that this is being done as part of the security arrangements for the Republic Day celebrations as per the instructions of Delhi Police as per the following plan:

1] Delhi Metro Entry and Exit at Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhawan Metro stations will remain closed from start of train services till 12:00 Noon.

2] Delhi Metro Central Secretariat station will only be used for interchange of passengers between Line 2 and Line 6.

3] Delhi Metro Entry and exit at Patel Chowk and Lok Kalyan Marg Metro stations will remain closed from 08:45 AM to 12:00 Noon.

"All Delhi Metro parking lots will also remain closed from 06.00 AM on the 25th of January to 2.00 PM on the 26th of January, 2021. This step has also been taken as part of the security arrangements," the Delhi Metro press statement said.
