In a major development, a red alert has been imposed on the entire Delhi Metro Rail  Corporation (DMRC) network. The development took place after advise by security agencies. DMRC has asked passengers to allow extra time in security checks.  

DMRC tweeted, "Security Alert As advised by security agencies, a red alert has been imposed on the entire DMRC network. Please allow extra time in security checks."
