Daily commuters travelling on the Delhi Metro Magenta Line faced delays on Tuesday morning. The reason behind the same was a technical snag. In a statement, DMRC stated that the metro services were regulated post maintenance work on a small stretch in the down line (towards Botanical Garden) between Palam and Sadar Bazaar.

They added that services were made to run on a single line between Janakpuri West and Sadar Bazar Cantonment section from 6 a.m. to 8:18 a.m. During the same period, services were cut short between Sadar Bazaar Cantonment and the Botanical Garden section.

DMRC took up the initiative to update the news on the delay on their official Twitter handle. However, commuters had to wait for the trains for some time. Trains between Palam and Sadar Bazar were restricted to a speed of 10 km per hour, as a precautionary move.

Services between Janakpuri West and Sadar Bazar from 10 pm ran on single line with headway of around 15 minutes to undertake the civil maintenance work.

As per DMRC, the rest of the lines remained normal.
