Delhi LOCKDOWN News: Arvind Kejriwal says PARTIAL UNLOCK to begin from THIS date; Check what's being relaxed
Keeping the interest of the daily workers in mind, only construction activities and factories will be reopened from 31 May.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday, 28 May, said the exercise to gradually unlocking the National Capital will begin starting May 31.
Addressing a press conference in Delhi on Friday, the CM said that he has taken this step after the Covid-19 situation is coming under control. However, Delhi will take one step at a time and will not completely unlock all activities as there has to be a balance between containment and the resumption of economic activities, he said.

Keeping the interest of the daily workers in mind, only construction activities and factories will be reopened from 31 May. Other things will remain shut for now. The CM office will issue a detailed guideline asking people to not come outdoor unless absolutely necessary.

Amid the Second Wave, the Delhi government imposed a curfew in Delhi from 19 April 2021 after seeing a surge in the COVID-19 cases. Since then the state government has been extending the lockdown in the Capital.
Meanwhile, India has recorded 1.86 lakh new COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours ending 8 AM Friday, the lowest spike in daily infections in the last 44 days. The number of active cases further dipped to 23.43 lakh, while over 2.48 crore people have recovered from the virus as of now. With 3,660 new fatalities, the death toll is now over 3.18 lakh.
