Delhi contactless ticketing system: THIS app allows you to book ticket on DTC buses through QR code
The ''ticketless'' scheme launched by Delhi government last year in May-June in view of the Covid 19 pandemic has been reportedly extended to all DTC buses.
The ''ticketless'' scheme launched by Delhi government last year in May-June in view of the Covid 19 pandemic has been reportedly extended to all DTC buses. Now, passengers can scan QR code to buy tickets and help stop money exchanging hands to avoid infection. Delhi government extended this scheme to all DTC buses on Wednesday. Delhi DTC bus commuters can book tickets by scanning QR code through 'Chartr' app.

To make it further easy, QR codes have been pasted on the back of each seat of almost all DTC buses to enable passengers to make the payment for tickets. Several DTC buses also have posters pasted inside the bus, explaining how to download 'Chartr' app and buy tickets through this mobile application.
On Day one of the complete roll-out of the contactless ticketing system, at least 1,601 contactless general tickets and 5,015 pink tickets, free tickets for women passengers, were issued till 10pm on Wednesday, HT said quoting a government record.
“Till 9pm, the total collection through online transactions of tickets was ₹18,829. As many as 114 daily passes were issued on Wednesday through the contactless ticketing system amounting to a total collection of ₹ 5,150,” RS Minhas, deputy general manager (PR), DTC, told HT.
Initially the project was launched in only 128 DTC buses, while there are more than 35, 000 government buses in Delhi.
