Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday announced that the Delhi Government is organising a 'Delhi Shopping Festival' in Delhi from 28th January to 26th February 2023.

"Delhi will look like a bride in the Delhi Shopping Festival," said Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal while announcing the Delhi shopping Festival.

Along with a special opening and closing ceremony, the Chief Minister said that artists from India and all over the world will be invited to participate in 200 concerts.

The chief minister added that people from every strata of the society will get many choices to shop from. He also added that whole Delhi will be beautified and the event will be the biggest India has yet seen.

The 30 days festival is being arranged by Delhi government in which people from all over the world will be invited to experience the culture, essence and shopping of Delhi, said Delhi Chief Minister.

Commenting on the food culture of Delhi, he said, Delhi is known for its different kinds of cuisines hence, 'Delhi food walks' would be arranged and cuisines that are not only from Delhi but also from all over India would be available.

The CM also added that special transportation packages would be arranged for travellers coming from outside.  "We are talking with hotels, travel agents, transportations companies, and airlines to arrange special transportation packages," said Arvind Kejriwal.

The Chief Minister stated that this will generate employment for many and also appealed that Delhiites should get ready to host such a big event.
