The advisory suggests that the aviation companies and the IGI airport officials are also concerned about the flyers who would be coming from Gurgaon. Those who are based in Delhi have one foolproof option - catch the airport metro line. So, those based in Gurgaon or any other part of Haryana and have to come by the route mentioned in the advisory, it's better to avoid the road route and pick metro route. For Delhi-based flyers too, there can be a traffic problem as there is a religious procession taking place from Rakabganj Gurudwara to INA. Hence, even for those who are based in Delhi and have to catch their flight, should either avoid the Rakabganj-INA route or better take Airport Metro Line to catch their flight.

For domestic flyers, it is mandatory to board the flight 45 minutes before the take-off time. Prior to boarding the flight, the passengers have to go through security checks and collect their board pass as well. So, it's advisable for the passengers to reach the airport at least one and a half hours before the take-off time of their flight.
