DEBIT CARD AND CREDIT CARD DETAILS
Sharing your debit card and credit card details with anyone is the worst mistake you might make. Once fraudsters come to know about the details, your card can be easily skimmed. Also, check the bank ATMs near party destinations first before inserting your debit card or credit card. Many times fraudsters put cameras, typing pads etc on ATM machines and thereby come to know your PIN. Make a resolve that you will consciously check for New Year Scams.

NO CUSTOMER CARE NUMBER FOR ONLINE ORDER!

While ordering food from Zomato or Swiggy, remember there's no dedicated customer care number that you can get from Google. Only with the help of an app you can chat to a customer and get your issues solved. There are chances you may get a call from fraudsters  who will try to solve your issue by convincing you to download  desktop apps like AnyDesk or Teamviewer, which can be misused to steal your money by taking control of your screen. These apps simply allow the fraudster to see whatever you are doing on your phone and moment you log-in to your mobile banking account they steal your login credentials.

BEWARE OF THE FAKE MESSAGES
Don't fall into the trap of the fake messages related to Lucky draw. You may receive a message like “You have won a car, bike or trip as part of our lucky draw." The moment you call on that number the executive will tell you to deposit the tax amount to claim your big gift. You will find that your money will disappear and you will get no car, no bike and no trip. Disappointment will be very bitter indeed.

Many of us look for a partner for a new year party with the help of the apps like Tinder or other dating apps. Sometimes these fraudsters hunt for a Boyfriend/ girlfriend to enter a party and then extort money by tricking them. So think twice while doing right swipe on dating sites.
