CVoter Survey: Majority wants PM Modi to intervene and Manipur CM to resign
To the question: should Prime Minister Modi personally intervene to stop the violence in Manipur, overall 80 per cent of the respondents answered in the affirmative. Sixty-two per cent of the respondents want Presidents rule in the state, while 87 per cent of the respondents wants death penalty for rapists.

More significantly, a huge majority wants Prime Minister Narendra Modi to personally intervene in the matter.

Even more significantly, a big majority wants the chief minister of Manipur, N. Biren Singh to resign from his post.
Close to 60 per cent of the respondents in the CVoter survey are of the opinion that Biren Singh must resign immediately.
Less than one fourth want him to continue as the Chief Minister.
Close to half of NDA supporters want Biren Singh to resign while only a third want him to stay.
Among respondents, who support opposition parties, more than two thirds want him to resign immediately.

An exclusive survey by CVoter reveals that a majority of Indians are of the opinion that the "double engine" government of the NDA has failed in Manipur.
Significantly, an even bigger majority is of the opinion that President's rule needs to be imposed in the state to quell the violence that has engulfed the state since early May.
The question asked during the CVoter survey was: Do you think that the violence in Manipur reflects the complete failure of BJP's double engine government in the state?
Overall, close to 57 per cent of the respondents answered in the affirmative while just about 30 per cent disagreed.
Significantly, even among respondents who support the NDA, a larger proportion says the double engine government has failed. A big majority (58 per cent) is also of the opinion that the BJP and the Central government are failing to stop the violence in Manipur for political reasons.
Significantly, close to 62 per cent of the respondents want President's rule to be imposed in the state.
A big majority (54 per cent) of the NDA supporters want President's rule to be imposed while less than one third don't agree with the contention.

An exclusive survey conducted by India's leading poll agency CVoter reveals that an overwhelming majority of Indians want culprits like the ones who paraded women naked in public and gang-raped them in public in Manipur should be given the death penalty.
The question asked during the CVoter survey was: Some horrifying videos of brutality and gang-rape of women have come to the fore during the violence taking place in Manipur.
According to you, should culprits of such acts get the death penalty.
