Cricketer Suresh Raina and wife Priyanka become entrepreneurs
Suresh Raina and his wife Priyanka have launched a natural babycare brand Maate.
Indian cricket player Suresh Raina and his wife Priyanka, who became parents to their baby girl Gracia in May 2016 and are expecting their second child, have this advice to young parents: "Never try to be perfect". "As the child grows, you grow as a parent too. It is a beautiful journey with its shares of challenges. There will be many moments of joy and love and sometimes-even guilt, but it`s all worth it.
"What works for one might not work for the other; however, what works the best is to have a good partnership as a parent and being on the same page when it comes to setting parenting rules in the family," The Rainas told IANSlife, days after they launched a natural babycare brand Maaté.

Marking their foray into entrepreneurship, the all-natural brand is built on the values of motherhood. "How a mother nurtures, cleanser, comforts and protects her child, represents our brand values. The word Maaté owes its root to Sanskrit - it means Mother. Maaté is our tribute to nature and her power of sustenance. Our products are an expression of our admiration for every mother who nurtures her baby with tender love and care," they added.
With a second pregnancy announced by the couple last month, how has the experience of being a parent been for them?
"Parenting is a bag of mixed emotions and learnings. It teaches you a lot of things at the same time throw a lot of challenges and dilemmas at you. We have become more responsible with our actions, have developed a more patient approach, and have become better at dealing with situations because you want to set an example for your child.
"After Gracia, our lives have completely changed; she has become the ruler of the house and our lives revolve around her," they shared.
Priyanka and Suresh Raina also have an NGO named after their daughter, which completes three years in May 2020.
The Gracia Raina Foundation plans to reach out to more mothers and adolescents all across India and involve them in its maternal and reproductive health programs. "We also plan to work on providing a digital platform for our youth pan-India where they can freely get in touch with our health experts for their reproductive health concerns. We will also be working on strengthening our women in prison project".
