During the election campaign, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had assured the people of the state that his party was committed to implementing the seventh pay commission if it came to power in Manipur
The Left Front has questioned the BJP government over implementation of the seventh pay commission in Manipur.
During the election campaign, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had assured the people of the state that his party was committed to implementing the seventh pay commission if it came to power in Manipur.
Releasing a letter copy sent to Chief Minister, Manipur Government Services Federation (MGSF) president, M Rajendra Singh, Left Front said if the government doesn’t issue orders for the implementation of the seven pay commission then they will launch a “cease work strike” from February 27, according to a India.com report.
Only four pay commissions have been implemented till now and the state has been demanding seven pay commission for long.
If the 7th Pay Commission recommendations are implemented, the state government will have to bear an additional burden of Rs 1700 crore. This matter did not reflect in the State budget 2018-19.
