CoWIN vaccine certificate correction online: Make changes in name, phone, address and other details on cowin.gov.in - Here is how

You can now make the corrections to the vaccination certificate! The person can now correct errors in the vaccine certificate via CoWIN. However, the platform allows you to edit the certification only once. So be careful and mention all your details correctly as you will not get a second chance to correct the errors.  

The vaccination certificate is verifiable proof of vaccination. You can download the vaccination certificate from the Co-WIN portal (cowin.gov.in) or the Aarogya Setu app or through Digi-Locker by following the simple steps. You may do so by using the mobile number used at the time of registration.

The official handle of the Aarogya Setu had tweeted: “Now you can make corrections to your name, year of birth, and gender on your CoWIN vaccination certificates if inadvertent errors have come in.”  

The platform allows you to edit your name, gender, photo ID number and date of birth. Also, you get the option to correct details mentioned in your family members’ vaccine certificates. 

How to correct errors in vaccine certificate 

1) Go to cowin.gov.in and sign in with your registered mobile number 

2) Verify your number, the app will display your account details 

3) Click on Raise an Issue option. Tap on the option and choose the member’s name 

4) Click on Correction in Certificate box and enter the correct information such as gender, name etc.  

5) Click on the Continue button and Submit 

Or you can book an appointment through Aarogya Setu or Umang apps 

Similarly, one can also check the authentication of their vaccine certificate as the same document is used at the time of travel and helps in entering several other places.
