The procedure of administering booster dose vaccines is moving at a breakneck pace in the country. The administration has begun the vaccination from January 10, 2022.
To register yourself, applicants required some documents for verification. These documents may be Aadhaar Card, EPIC, Passport, Driving license, PAN Card, Smart Card issued by RGI under NPR, Pension Document with Photograph.
In between all of that it is very important to get yourself fully vaccinated. But before that all you need to know :
Who Can Get a Booster Shot
Pfizer-BioNTech
Who should get a booster: Everyone 12 years and older
When to get a booster: At least 5 months after completing your primary COVID-19 vaccination series
Which booster can you get:
-Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna (mRNA COVID-19 vaccines) are preferred in most* situations
-Teens 12–17 years old may only get a Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine booster
Moderna
Who should get a booster: Adults 18 years and older
When to get a booster: At least 5 months after completing your primary COVID-19 vaccination series
Which booster can you get: Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna (mRNA COVID-19 vaccines) are preferred in most situations
Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen
Who should get a booster: Adults 18 years and older
When to get a booster: At least 2 months after receiving your J&J/Janssen COVID-19 vaccination
Which booster can you get: Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna (mRNA COVID-19 vaccines) are preferred in most situations
Step to register for precautionary and booster doses of Covid Vaccine:
-Beneficiaries will be able to get the vaccination for precaution and booster dose using their current Co-WIN account.
-They can register in advance, on-site, or through the Co-WIN Facilitated Cohort Registration procedure.
-Eligibility of beneficiaries will be based on the date of administration of 2nd dose as recorded in the Co-WIN system.
-Verification will be done preferably using Aadhaar.
Apart from Aadhaar, other IDs approved by the MoHFW are:
1. EPIC,
2. Passport,
3. Driving license,
4. PAN Card,
5. Smart Card issued by RGI under NPR,
6. Pension Document with Photograph.
-When the precautionary and booster dosage is due, the Co-WIN system will send SMS to such recipients to remind them to take it.
-Registration and appointment services are available in both online and onsite formats.
-All Vaccination will be recorded in real-time through the Co-WIN Vaccinator Module on the same day.
Note: Vaccination will follow the standard procedure of registration, verification at session site, and reporting in Co-WIN including AEFIs reporting and management.
Approx. 2.64 lakh new cases were reported in India last 24 hour, with which the total no. of cases reach 3,65,82,129, which includes 5,753 cases of the Omicron variant, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Friday.
While 3,40,474 new vaccinations have been done today morning and the number is increasing every second. The total no. of registration reached 4,00,980 and counting is going on, as per cowin app shows.
Apart from that 42% of teenagers have been vaccinated with the shot in the first 11 days, Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said in a tweet. He tweeted, "42% of eligible teens have got Covid-19 shots in first 11 days".
