Covid Vaccination Amrit Mahotsava: The ‘COVID Vaccination Amrit Mahotsava’ will commence from today to provide free precaution/booster dose to all eligible adults (18-75 age group). This drive will be held as a part of 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsava' to celebrate 75 years of India's independence.
Covid Vaccination Amrit Mahotsava: The ‘COVID Vaccination Amrit Mahotsava’ will commence from today to provide free precaution/booster dose to all eligible adults (18-75 age group). This drive will be held as a part of 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsava' to celebrate 75 years of India's independence.
During the 75-day long special drive, free Covid-19 booster doses will be provided to the citizens at government vaccination centres. The objective is to speed-up the vaccination process in the country. The drive was announced by the government on July 13.
"India is celebrating 75 years of independence. On the occasion of Azadi ka Amrit Kaal, it has been decided that from 15th July 2022 till the next 75 days, citizens above 18 years of age will be given booster doses free of cost," Union Minister Anurag Thakur had said in Wednesday.

PM @NarendraModi Ji's Govt is committed to creating a Healthy & Safe India," Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of Health and Family Welfare, tweeted.

According to government data, so far, the country reported a single-day rise of 20,038 new COVID-19 cases on July 14, 2022. Whereas 47 fatalities push India's infection tally to 4,37,10,027. The death toll in the country is 5,25,604.
