Ghaziabad authorities issue instructions to schools and colleges as Covid cases surge
Bearing in mind the spike in Covid cases in the national capital region and in several regions of the state, Uttar Pradesh and Ghaziabad district authorities have issued set of guidelines and Covid protocols which are to be followed for prevention and to curb the spread of Coronavirus.
Authorities have issued guidelines for offices, schools, colleges, hospitals, marriage halls and public places, instructing all to adhere to social distancing and wear masks mandatorily in offices.
Orders have been issued to maintain cleanliness and entry only be given to those wearing mask.
While thermal scanning should be arranged at the entrances, the doors, railings, lifts, parking areas should be sanitized from time-to-time.
In case of symptoms of cold, fever or flu, individuals should be directed to remain quarantined at home and get Covid test done, said a press release by the administration.
Covid Cases in UP: Instructions issued to schools and colleges
1) Children and teachers of schools should wear masks and comply with social distancing.
2) Children should maintain sufficient distance in the class.
3) All those entering the school must be thermal scanned at the gate.
4) Adequate arrangement of hand washing soap and water and hand sanitizer should be ensured in schools.
5) Classrooms, verandah railings, swings etc should be sanitized at regular intervals.
6) Parents must be told to not send their children to school if they are suffering from cough, cold, fever, etc., and they should be asked to get medical advice and treatment.
Hospitals have been ordered to follow strict Covid protocol. Compliance of mask, sanitizer and social distancing protocols should be ensured. Entry should not be given to individuals without a mask. Thermal scanning should be arranged at the entrances.
Fever help desk and Covid help desk should be established while Covid test should be done for symptomatic patients.
Wearing mask and social distancing is also compulsory at cinema halls and malls, railway stations, bus stations and airports. Thermal scanning should be ensured at the entrances of all these places.
As per the authorites, Uttar Pradesh has 1,791 active Covid cases and the positivity rate has been 0.65 per cent so far in April.
Uttar Pradesh reported 446 new Covid cases on Wednesday, while 149 patients recovered.
Lucknow reported 97 new cases followed by Gautam Buddha Nagar 69 and Ghaziabad 50.
Number of active Covid cases in Lucknow currently stood at 406, according to the health department.
