COVID Update India: On May 1, 2022, 3,324 coronavirus infections were reported across the country, raising the case tally to 4,30,79,188, according to data from the Union Health Ministry. While the number of active cases increased to 19,092, according to data updated by the Union Health Ministry.

The data published by the government was as of 8 am on Sunday. The death toll has climbed to 5,23,843 with 40 fatalities reported over the last 24 hours. The ministry reported that active cases made up 0.04 per cent of total infections, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate was 98.74%. In the past 24 hours, 403 cases have been added to the active Covid-19 caseload.

The Ministry of Health recorded a daily positivity rate of 0.71 per cent and a weekly positivity rate of 0.68%. 4.25,36,253 people recovered from the disease, with a case fatality rate of 1.22 per cent.

Meanwhile, India saw a single-day rise of 3,688 new coronavirus infections taking the total tally of Covid-19 cases to 4,30,75,864, while the active cases increased to 18,684, the government said on Saturday.

According to the Union Health Ministry data updated at 8 am on Saturday, the death toll rose to 5,23,803 with 50 more fatalities. The active cases constituted 0.04% of the total infections, while the national recovery rate was recorded at 98.74 per cent, the health ministry said.

Within the last 24 hours, there has been an increase of 883 cases in the active Covid-19 caseload. The daily positivity rate was 0.74 per cent and the weekly positivity rate was 0.66 per cent, according to the data. A total of 4,25,33,377 people have recovered from the disease, while the case fatality rate stands at 1.22%.

As of today, Covid-19 vaccinations have been administered to more than 188.89 crore people across the country.
