Covid 19 THIRD WAVE will hit India by August, peak in September, says SBI research report

Though India is still recovering from the Covid 19 second wave, a research report by SBI has claimed that Coronavirus third wave will hit India by the next month. It further said after hitting the country in August, it will reach its peak in September. This was claimed in 'The Race to Finishing Line' report published by the SBI.

Previously, the SBI report had almost correctly predicted about the peak of the second wave of infections. As about the second wave, SBI research report had claimed that Covid 19 second wave peak will be in third week of May. If SBI research report is to be believed coronavirus third wave will be more aggressive as it will hit the country with almost double or 1.7 times strongly.
According to the same SBI report, as per current available data, fresh Covid 19 cases across the country will shrunk to 10,000 cases daily, which will again start picking up in August.
As on Monday, according to the latest bulletin released by the Union Health Ministry, India detected 39,476 fresh Covid-19 infections on July 5.
The report stated that vaccination is the only saviour as global data shows that, on an average, the third wave peak cases are around 1.7 times the peak cases at the time of second wave.
Only 4.6 per cent of the population in India is fully vaccinated, while 20.8 per cent have received one dose, much lower compared to other countries including the US (47.1 per cent), the UK (48.7 per cent), Israel (59.8 per cent), Spain (38.5 per cent), France (31.2), among others.
