Also, the Union Home Ministry has also issued a notification to the states and the union territories instructing them to implement 'Prompt and Effective Measures' specified in a September 21 advisory issued in view of festivals.

As per an ANI report, the Joint Health Secretary of Union Ministry of Health while addressing a health briefing said, "We need to be watchful for the months of October, November and December."

He also advised to attend Durga Puja and Ram Leela virtually and to meet loved ones in Diwali online to avoid the resurgence of COVID-19 cases.

The MoHFW states that the weekly positivity rate is 1.53 per cent which is less than 3 per cent for 108 days.
