COVID-19: On Sunday, India recorded 1,07,474 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours. India's active caseload currently stands at 12,25,011, as per the data from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

The country has recorded 2,13,246 recoveries in the last 24 hours increasing the total recoveries to 4,04,61,148. The national COVID-19 recovery rate has improved to 95.91 per cent, the ministry said.

The daily positivity rate was recorded at 7.42 per cent, while the weekly positivity rate was recorded at 10.20 per cent, it said.

India's COVID-19 tally had crossed the 20-lakh mark on August 7, 2020, 30 lakh on August 23, 40 lakh on September 5 and 50 lakh on September 16. It went past 60 lakh on September 28, 70 lakh on October 11, crossed 80 lakh on October 29, 90 lakh on November 20 and surpassed the one-crore mark on December 19.

India crossed the grim milestone of two crore on May 4, 2021, and three crore on June 23.
