Union Health Ministry has issued revised guidelines for home isolation and care instructions for COVID-19. Under the revised guideline, isolation will end on the completion of 7 days and if there is no fever for 3 continuous days.
It is mandatory for persons with minor or no symptoms to complete the 7-day home isolation period, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said.
The isolation will end after the completion of 7 days of home isolation and if there is no fever for 3 continuous days. After that, there is no need to get the test done, it said.
But if a person has symptoms, then isolation can be ended after the completion of 7 days since that person tested positive for Covid-19.
Meanwhile, in another news, Uttar Pradesh government has imposed further restrictions in the state with immediate effect to combat the spread of Covid-19, as per the IANS reported.
According to the state government's new Covid control guidelines, all government and private offices will operate at half-staff at a time. The government is also promoting a work-from-home program and urging employers to create a rotating system to reduce transmission levels. And, if a private sector employee is found to be Covid positive, he will be granted a seven-day paid leave with no wage deduction.
Also, While evaluating the state's Covid situation with senior authorities in a high-level meeting on Monday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that efforts should be made to safeguard both "lives and livelihoods", as mentioned by IANS.
