Congress party Steering Committee members - Full list; Shashi Tharoor missing

Congress Party Steering Committee Members: Congress' new president Mallikarjun Kharge has set up a Steering Committee. The committee has 47 members including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Congress party Steering Committee will be in place of the Congress Working Committee (CWC).

Congress party Steering Committee, however, excludes Shashi Tharoor who had contested against Kharge in the just held Congress presidential election.

Barring Sonia, Rahul, Priyanka and Manmohan Singh, other members of the Congress Steering Committee are P Chidambaram, Randeep Surjewala, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, AK Antony, Abhishek Manu Singhvi, Ajay Maken and others.

Ahead of Kharge taking over as Congress president, all the members of the Congress Working Committee - the party's highest decision-making authority, AICC General Secretaries and incharges had tendered their resignation. The new President will announce his new team subsequently.
