LPG price cut per 19 kg cylinder, effective today — find out how much you have to pay now

LPG cylinder price: The government cut the LPG price per 19-kilogram cylinder, with effect from April 1. The reduction was to the tune of Rs 91.5 per such commercial-use cylinder — used for non-domestic purposes in different industries.

After the latest revision, consumers have to pay Rs 2,028 per 19-kg cylinder in New Delhi, instead of the earlier Rs 2,119.5 per cylinder.

That brought some respite to the users of commercial LPG following a hike of Rs 350 per cylinder a month ago. 

Domestic LPG rate (cooking gas price) also revised?

No, the price of the 14.2-kg LPG cylinders cooking gas cylinders — also known as domestic cooking gas — was kept unchanged. The price of the domestic cooking gas cylinder was raised by Rs 50 last month.

New rates of commercial LPG per cylinder in metros

Here's a list of LPG rates per 19-kg cylinder, effective April 1, according to Indian Oil:

• Delhi: Rs 2,028
• Kolkata: Rs 2,132
• Mumbai: Rs 1,980
• Chennai: Rs 2,192.5
