The Institute of Chartered Accounts of India (ICAI) has been celebrating Chartered Accountants' Day from June 29, 2021 to July 1, 2021. On the account of its 73rd foundation day on July 1, 2021, the ICAI has taken wise decision. The institute has informed about its decision from its official Twitter handle.

ICAI tweeted, "On its 73rd Foundation Day, today on 1st July 2021, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India waives course fees of those Foundation, Intermediate and Final CA students who lost any of their parents due to #Covid19. Detailed notification will be issued regarding this."

The ICAI is a statutory body established by an Act of Parliament, that is, The Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 (Act No.XXXVIII of 1949) for regulating the profession of Chartered Accountancy in the country. The ICAI is the second largest professional body of Chartered Accountants in the world, with a strong tradition of service to the Indian economy in public interest.
