Chandrayaan-3 to be launched on July 14: What you should know about India and ISRO's Moon Mission
Chandrayaan-3 Launch: The project has an estimated budget of Rs 615 crore. Yesterday, July 5, Chandrayaan-3's encapsulated assembly was coupled with the LV M3.
Chandrayaan-3 Launch: As of today, July 6, the Launch Vehicle M3/M4 (LV M3/M4) carrying Chandrayaan-3 is currently being moved to the launch pad at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) at Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has already announced the scheduled launch of the LVM3-M4/ Chandrayaan-3 mission. In a tweet, ISRO said that the launch is scheduled for July 14, 2023, at 2:35 pm IST from SDSC.
India is now gearing up for their third lunar mission, and just a few days are left until the launch of the satellite, which will help unravel more mysteries about Earth's only natural satellite, the Moon.
Chandrayaan-3 is a follow-up mission to Chandrayaan-2, which will use its landers and rovers to help demonstrate end-to-end capability for safe landing and wandering on the lunar surface. The lander and rover configuration will be propelled by the propulsion module up to 100 kilometers into the lunar orbit. To examine the Spectral and Polarimetric data of Earth from the lunar orbit, the propulsion module is equipped with the Spectro-Polarimetry of Habitable Planet Earth (SHAPE) payload.
The project has an estimated budget of Rs 615 crore. Yesterday, July 5, Chandrayaan-3's encapsulated assembly was coupled with the LV M3.
