Chandrayaan-3: ISRO releases video of Pragyaan rover sliding off Vikram lander and touching down Moon's surface

Chandrayaan-3: Rover Pragyaan is roaming around Moon's surface and communicating with Lander Vikram to send vital information back to Earth. People are keenly awaiting every information posted by ISRO on its X account (formerly Twitter).

Every new update about Chandrayaan-3 is creating huge curiosity among Indians and space enthusiasts. On Friday (August 25, 2023), Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) posted on X a video of Rover Pragyaan ramping down from Lander Vikram to the lunar surface.

In the 30-second video, the rover can be seen sliding off the ramp of the lander before touching the lunar surface and rolling down it.

Since the video has been taken from a camera attached to the lander, it shows the shadow of the rover moving downward.

When Pragyaan starts moving on Moon, it can also be seen leaving the imprints of its tyres on the lunar surface.  

The video has sparked a lot of interest among people, as just three hours into its posting, it has attracted 1.2 million impressions, 2066 comments, 19.8K shares, and 61.2K likes.

On August 23, India became the first nation to land a satellite on the south pole of Moon.
