The Indian AEO Programme, which started in 2011, was designed to set standards to secure and facilitate the ever-growing flow of goods in international trade. The programme has a membership of nearly 5,000 AEO entities. That is 5,000 economic entities which have actively collaborated with Indian Customs to ensure safety and security in the Supply Chain. And in return, they are reaping benefits of an ever-widening set of benefits from Indian Customs such as faster processing and clearance of cargo, deferred payment of duty, direct port delivery/entry.
The new version of the web application is designed to ensure continuous, real-time and digital monitoring of the physical field AEO T2 and AEO T3 applications for timely intervention and expedience. The AEO T2 and AEO T3 applications, on submission of the physical documents in the jurisdictional Principal Chief Commissioner/ Chief Commissioner’s office (AEO Cell), shall register on the AEO web application.
On successful registration, the application shall upload the duly filled relevant annexures for their AEO T2 or AEO T3 application. The applicants who are already registered are not required to register again. The existing login credentials can be straightaway utilised for uploading either the AEO T2 or AEO T3 application annexures.
