How to check LPG cylinder expiry
Oil manufacturing companies that do the LPG gas cylinder refill and supply have divided the whole year in four parts — A, B, C and D. A means Jan-March quarter, B means April to June quarter, C means July to September quarter and similarly D means October to December quarter. The expiry of the LPG cylinder is coded and it is printed on any of the three plates that joins the ring and the cylinder. When the cylinder expires, its seal becomes loose and chances of gas leak go high. Chances of LPG cylinder blast also goes high in such cases. So, one must know how to decode the LPG cylinder expiry. As mentioned ABCD means first to last quarter of the year. it is followed by the year. For example, if there is B25 printed on one's LPG cylinder, it means it will expire in April to June quarter of the year 2025.
