This movie is a dark comedy and it has managed to win a lot of appreciation from all quarters. Blackmail is about an extra marital affair that is handled astutely by Delhi Belly director Abhinay Deo. According to reports, it is based on a true story. The story revolves around a husband who finds out his wife (a role essayed by Kirti Kulhari) is having an extra marital affair. He is bound to the office, but on the suggestion of his colleague, goes home early one day only to find his wife with her ex boyfriend. The character Irrfan plays is in debt and his idea of vendetta is to blackmail the lover. What happens next is a tale of hilarity interspersed with much dark humour and madness. You will need to be on your toes to follow the story. And no, there are no blink-and-you-will-miss-it moments as the emphasis is on the enjoyment part.
