Bihar election 2020: As Bihar votes in the third and final phase of the election, about 2.35 crore voters spread across 78 assembly seats will seal the fate of 1204 candidates in the fray.

There are 1094 male candidates and 110 female nominees of different parties who will take on each other in the crucial last phase election.  

There are 1.23 crore male voters, 1.12 crore female voters and 894 transgenders, who will decide the fate of the candidates in the third phase.
Maximum candidates are contesting from Gaighat Assembly seat in Tirhut division, while minimum candidates, nine each, are contesting from Dhaka, Trivenianj, jokihat  and Bahadurganj Assembly seats.  

Janata Dal United JD(U) has fielded 37 candidates, including 8 females, while Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has 46 candidates, including 2 female candidates in the third phase. As many as 35 BJP leaders, including six female candidates; 23 candidates, including 2 women, from RLSP; 42 candidates, including 2 women from NCP; 25 candidates, including four women from Congress; 42 candidates, including 7 women, from LJP; 19 candidates, including 4 women from BSP and 2 CPI candidates will be testing the poll waters on Saturday.  

Besides, 50 female candidates are contesting the third phase of the elections from other registered political parties in the state.  
Also, 382 male candidates and 25 females are also trying their luck as independents.

As many as 33, 700 EVMs will be pressed into service at 33,782 booths. Total number of ballot units are 45,953 and total VVPAT is 33,782.   
Valmiki Nagar assembly seat in Western Champaran district is the biggest constituency area wise and Saharsa is the biggest constituncy in terms of voters. Hayaghat assembly constituency in Darbhanga district is the smallest constituency in by terms of voters.  

There are 4,999 sensitive centres where Election Commission feels voters could be intimidated or influenced.

General voting time is from 7am to 6 pm, however, voting will start early at 4 assembly seats—Valmiki Nagar, Ram Nagar, Simri and Mahishi Vidhan Sabha constituencies. Voting on these four seats will begin from 6am and conclude at 4pm.
